Recent projects
Making it personal: Overcoming sexual and gender-based violence
The Waterfall of Solidarity and Resistance is a powerful tapestry composed of over 180 cloth panels, each telling stories of pain, resilience, and hope in the fight against sexual and gender-based violence. Initiated by the World Council of Churches, individuals and groups contributed these panels as part of the Thursdays in Black global movement. The tapestry was unveiled at the WCC’s 11th Assembly in September 2022.
The accompanying publication brings together all the panels along with the stories behind their creation, amplifying their impact in our homes and communities. The project, from its inception to the final publication, was led by Communication Point Director Sara Speicher.
Making justice fun: Digital Revolution Game
How to make people more aware of the justice issues we face in the digital transformation of our work and lives? Through a simple and fun quiz! For WACC Global, Sara Speicher researched the questions and worked with an associate to set it up online in four languages.
